CrimeMiner Partner Program Terms
The Sontara-based model, adapted for retired officers introducing agencies to CrimeMiner.
Review draft 2026-09-12.1 · September 12, 2026 · Not yet effective
This is a proposed update for review. It does not amend an existing agency agreement or replace the currently effective terms.
1. Program status & participation
This is a proposed adaptation of the Sontara Partner Program for retired law enforcement officers referring agencies to CrimeMiner. It is not an active enrollment offer. The final operator, agreement, acceptance process, attribution workflow and payout onboarding must be confirmed before paid referrals are accepted.
Participants must be retired law enforcement officers, at least 18, able to enter an agreement and legally permitted to participate. You do not have to be a CrimeMiner customer. Sending the inquiry form does not enroll you, issue a referral code or accept these draft terms.
This is not the CrimeMiner Key Partner Program for existing agency customers participating in testimonials and references. This program pays individuals for introductions. The programs have separate terms, eligibility and obligations; participation in one does not enroll you in the other.
2. The Sontara-based economics
A referred agency receives 20% off its first year. The partner earns a percentage of what that agency actually pays after the discount, not the list price: Partner 20%, Growth 25%, Pro 30%, Elite 35%.
- Growth: 5 new customers or $25,000 attributed revenue.
- Pro: 25 new customers or $50,000 attributed revenue.
- Elite: 100 new customers or $100,000 attributed revenue.
Qualification is within the Partner Year, by customer count or attributed revenue, whichever threshold is reached first. Attributed revenue means qualifying first-year customer payments collected, not later residual payments. Upgrades apply to future conversions; the rate recorded for each customer when it converts remains its first-year rate.
Your Partner Year begins when you join. At each anniversary the counters reset and the held tier steps down one level, with Partner as the floor, unless your new-year activity qualifies you higher. Existing customers keep their recorded rates.
After a customer’s first year, its first-year discount and your first-year rate end. The proposed residual is 5% of what it pays while it remains a paying customer, subject to Section 7.
Sontara’s personal-subscription bill credits, self-purchase discounts and Elite personal-subscription benefit have no defined equivalent in CrimeMiner’s agency-only offer. They are not represented here as existing CrimeMiner benefits. Their adaptation remains a program-design decision, not a change to the tiered referral economics.
3. Attribution & eligible referrals
The Sontara model uses recorded first touch and referral codes, a 60-day attribution window and one conversion per customer. For CrimeMiner, the agency is the customer. Onboarding must establish how an introduction is registered, which account receives attribution and how a conversion is confirmed before referrals begin.
Customer discounts do not stack with other discounts. Payments actually collected are the basis for earnings. Refunds, chargebacks and disputed payments can reverse the related earnings, including after payout; under the Sontara terms, a partial refund may reverse the full commission on the affected payment. Reversals may be offset against future earnings or recovered where required by the agreement.
Do not treat a website inquiry, a meeting or an unpaid order as a paid customer conversion.
4. Agency procurement & conflicts
Before a paid referral is accepted, the team must review applicable procurement, contingent-fee and post-employment rules for the buying agency and the proposed arrangement. Requirements vary by jurisdiction and contract. Disclosure alone does not make a prohibited arrangement permissible.
Tell the team about prior employment with the agency, current consulting or advisory work, participation in specifications or evaluation, and any other role on the buyer’s side. Former-agency relationships require a specific conflict and cooling-off review; this draft does not impose a blanket ban on referrals to every former employer.
You may not use improper influence, promise official access or act on both sides of a purchase in violation of applicable duties. Confirm any restrictions that bind you and notify the team if your circumstances change.
Disclose your paid relationship to the agency in writing before purchase. The team must confirm that disclosure and the applicable eligibility review before treating the sale as payable. No prohibited referral earns a payment merely because a sale closes.
5. Independence & promotion
You are an independent participant, not an employee or authorized representative of Chuqlab. You cannot bind the company, make contractual commitments or present yourself as speaking for it.
Clearly disclose the paid relationship whenever you promote CrimeMiner. Explain that you may be paid if the agency subscribes through your referral. Describe the product accurately and use approved materials. Do not fabricate results, misrepresent an agency endorsement, disclose confidential case information or use agency marks or property without authority.
Do not spam, violate applicable calling or messaging rules, impersonate the company, bid on the CrimeMiner brand or confusing misspellings in paid search, or use fake accounts or transactions to manufacture earnings.
You may state factually where you served and in what role, but may not present yourself as speaking for an agency. Use of an agency’s seal, badge, crest, logo or uniform imagery to promote CrimeMiner requires that agency’s written permission, separate from permission to name it.
Do not promote CrimeMiner by claiming charges, convictions, sentences, clearances, protective orders or investigations solved with the product. Describe what the product does. Do not state capability figures, language counts or performance numbers the company has not published.
The proposed program permits limited, revocable use of approved CrimeMiner marks for accurate promotion. Do not register confusing domains, handles or applications. Content you create remains yours, with permission for the company to reshare it with credit.
6. Payouts & onboarding
The requested Sontara model provides monthly, net-30 payouts with no minimum balance through Stripe Connect. Required identity and tax onboarding must be completed before money can be paid. This draft does not assert that a CrimeMiner payout integration or partner dashboard is currently operating.
You are responsible for taxes on your earnings. Required reporting and tax forms will follow applicable law and the final payout arrangement. Unpaid balances are not forfeited merely because onboarding is incomplete; unclaimed balances are handled under the applicable agreement and unclaimed-property law.
Never submit banking details, Social Security numbers or tax documents through the public inquiry form.
7. Residuals & ending participation
The Sontara-based protections distinguish the reason participation ends:
- If you voluntarily leave, future residuals stop at departure.
- If you are removed for cause, future earnings stop; earnings attributable to fraud may be voided.
- If the company ends the program, or changes its terms and you decline, no new referrals are accepted after departure, but existing customers keep their recorded first-year rate and 5% residual while they remain paying customers.
Earned balances remain payable under the applicable payout terms. For-cause removal must identify the conduct involved, such as fraud, prohibited marketing, misrepresentation or unlawful activity. New-program and agreement mechanics must implement these distinctions rather than treating every departure as forfeiture.
8. Changes & acceptance
Material program changes apply prospectively and require notice and a new acceptance step. The Sontara model allows 30 days to accept. Not accepting is a change-driven departure under Section 7; it does not make earned balances conditional on signing new terms.
Changes do not retroactively reduce the first-year rate or residual terms recorded for an existing customer. Keep the accepted version and conversion record with your program records.
9. Responsibility & final agreement
The Sontara agreement requires participants to stand behind their promotional activities, including indemnifying the operator against claims and reasonable expenses arising from their promotion and legal compliance. Its general program liability cap is earned but unpaid amounts when a claim arises. These provisions require confirmation in the final CrimeMiner agreement and remain subject to applicable law.
The final agreement must identify the contracting entity, governing law, dispute process and any agency-procurement requirements. This review draft creates no present payment entitlement or new agency contract. It preserves the requested commercial model for review without claiming that the operational program has launched.
